    Re: catcher

ugh no one frustrates me more than javy lopez. javy's obp is weak but he's on pace to hit 30 homeruns...so i dont know.

    obp .294 avg. 264 hr 8

    lo duca is

    obp .364 avg. 295 hr 2

power for lopez, better on base percentage for lo duca...all in all they both suck

        Re: catcher

I would take either one of them, but from what I have seen (don't kill me on this if I am wrong) but I would have to take Lo Duca for his overall defense and and base running as well as his hitting. Lopez just seems to be an average Homerun hitter who really isn't any thing special behind the plate. Once again this is IMO but I think it is pretty accurate.

yeah, plus Lo Duca can also play 1st Base if needed

How many CAtchers do you see hit 30 HRs though?

Piazza. Posada is close every year. If healthy I-rod could.

                        Lopez won't hit 30 either.

                        Who's better?
I would have to go with Lo Duca. Lopez will hit a few more HR's, and thats it. Lo Duca is more versatile, will hit around .300, and have a good OBP.

                        Side Notes:
Did you know that Lopez is only 1.5 years older than Lo Duca? Kinda suprising?
Did you know Lo Duca hit 25 HRs in his break out year, but he only played in 125 games, not 160.
