I loved when he was in Oakland. In the on-deck circle he would swing a stick of rebarb. It was the most intimidating thing i've ever seen. haha

Well I think I heard they were retireing his number...maybe just some work for ESPN or MLB Network. I was hoping he would come to Comcast Sports Net.Comment

Re: So long Big Hurt.
If Tom Glavine and Pedro Martinez do not play another game-ever, think of what the ballott will look like for the class of 2014.
A first time ballott of:
Greg Maddux
Tom Glavine
Pedro Martinez
Frank Thomas
Jeff Kent
Jeff Bagwell
That might be the best first time ballott ever.Comment

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: So long Big Hurt.
Agreed.
Since i doubt 5 or 6 players will go in first time at the same time, of that list i think Maddux, Glavine, and Thomas go in first ballott with Martinez, Kent, and Bagwell having to wait a year.Comment

him pelting those watermelon's on david letterman, and his homerun derby w/ ken griffey are all good memories.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment
