WSB 2K3: Computer Swings Too Much On 3-0

Hey all,

I'm very happy with my current sliders and how the games are coming out. But I've noticed the computer is swinging a LOT on 3-0. How would I go about adjusting this or does it just happen this way.

I have my BE (S) slider set at 60, and they don't swing when at 3-0 because I still try to work the edge of the strike zone. Don't be afraid to give up a 4-pitch walk.

Barring the runner situation I normally try to hit the corner one last time and if I don't make it, it's a walk... no big deal. Now if it's bases loaded, 2-down in a close game, i'm giving nothing but heat and trying SOMEWHERE in the lower inside corner to the center of the strike zone... key is not to just toss him a grapefruit high. As gamer said, don't be afraid to walk someone.

I'm not afraid to walk someone, that's the point. I mean, I don't care where I throw it, Rey Ordonez should not have the green light on 3-0. And they aren't swinging just at pitches down the middle. They're swinging at pitches on the corners and such, which means they aren't zoning or anything when up 3-0 in the count. I just the computer to be smarter on 3-0.

BA 45
BE(B) 100
BE(S) 60
TS 1
SF 45

BA at 45 allows me to give the CPU about 8 hits per game, but BA at 40 also works if you're not an ace at pitching or defense. Even with the BE(B) at 100, I can still get the CPU to swing at balls just outside the strike zone, but BE(B) at 90 also works if you're giving up too many walks. Please note that I'm using the Cubs, and they have an excellent pitching staff.
