Need some help with ASB 2004

Just bought a copy of the game off of Ebay and it doesn't include a game manual. If you own the X-box version feel free to chime in with all game controls that i'll need to know. Also what are the best settings? Thanks.

Re: Need some help with ASB 2004

I like playing on veteran with the classic cursor and all aids turned off.

    Basic controls:
    Left Thumbstick - aim
    A - Swing
B - Drag bunt/bunt (hold down before the pitch)
Y + base runner is ON - steal
    Left Trigger - increase lead
Right Trigger - decrease lead / hold to guess pitch
Press left thumbstick - cycle through stats
Press right thumbstick - managers info (hit chart/pitch history/etc)

    Pitching:
    A/B/X/Y/White - choose pitch
    A - pitch
    B/X/Y - pickoff
    White - pitchout
    Black - beanball
Press right thumbstick - managers options

    Fielding:
    A - throw home
    B - throw to first
    Y - throw to second
    X - throw to third
white - throw to cut-off man
    left trigger - dive/jump
    right trigger - switch players

    Baserunning:
Y + base runner is ON - advance (i.e. if runner is on first, press d-pad to the right to advance to second)
B + base runner is ON - retreat (i.e. if you want to return to first, press B and right on the d-pad)
left trigger - advance all runners
right trigger - retreat all runners

note: the best luck I've had with baserunning is to hold down Y and then press the d-pad (or thumbstick) towards the base the runner is on.

Also, be sure to use the future-throw (press the base to throw the ball to before the fielder gets the ball) otherwise you'll have a delay.

    Hope this helps!
