I would agree, but I'm not exactly sure what you're saying here.

Alcohol. If I remember the guy who was tackled here awhile back said he remembered nothing he was so drunk. You can be drunk in public (a crime) in a ballpark. The security staff needs to keep a better eye on these guys, perhaps, finger them and get them out. Going to a ballgame isn't a license to get so drunk you're a danger to yourself and others.

I just think that fans today will do anything to get seen on television. That's what I think. You know these people just sit at home bragging about who is going to run out on the field first. Hell, they probably go to the games just to pull this crap off. Suddenly I'm losing in professional baseball (professional sports for that matter), since the games have become so television-oriented, where the highlight reels focus on the most bizarre and twisted plays of the day or week.

It's not the construction of the stadiums. It's not the commissioners fault. It's a growing population of people that 1) Don't care about anything but themselves and fail to realize ANY consequences in doing so and 2) the glamarization of their acts on television.

#2 is the same reason why football players show off after touchdowns and slam dunks are so the thing in basketball.

It's the people's fault. People feel as though they are deserving of something just for being there. And don't care where they have to go to get that recognition. Plain and simple.

On the other hand, don't you think that if he knew he was about to be prosecuted (or heavily at that), that he just then blamed it on being drunk? Maybe he wasn't drunk at all.

But being drunk is not a defense in court. Sure you can say you were drunk, but it's not a legit defense.

it is though depending on how serious your crime was. That is why they should come up with a plan to limit alcohol at these games and not let anyone into these games who have been drinking. then there are NO excuses.

a huge part of the problem is the media,
they over-covered the Gamboa incedent then we have copy cat crimes.
the losers who do this stuff don't care about consequences, they want the spot light, it's their caim to fame, and the media gives them exactly what they want.
