I'm hoping the owners and players realize a work stoppage would kill baseball and make an agreement. But being realistic there probably will be one. I HATE Bud Selig and Donal Fehr(sp?)!

Re: Poll: Will there be a strike?
After witnessing the new greatest specticle in sports Yankees / Red Sox today (screw the Indy 500) . There is no way they can strike. A sold out Yankee stadium. Yankees and Sox fans mingling. An awesome game. I beg them not to strike.University of Evansville Graduate

Yankess and Red Sox, IMO best rivalry in Pro Sports. I've been to 3. Unfortuantley the Yankees lost all 3Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: Poll: Will there be a strike?
I think so, but I'm a Yankee fan, but not a fan of the Cowboys or Rdeskins so I'm more involved in this rivalry. Others will probably say differnentOriginally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: Poll: Will there be a strike?
It's hard to compair one rivalry to another since people are more passionate over their favorite teams. Both are big rivalries, just as I've always seen Raiders vs. Broncos as one of the biggest.
That must have been a crazy experiance to go to those games, it sucks that they lost though, for your sake anyway.Twitter:@Fetter21

Re: Poll: Will there be a strike?
They were all pretty strange too. The first one I went too was in 98, Pedro vs Pettite. Well Pettite struggled and the Yankees were down 11-0 in the 2nd inning. They came back and made it 11-7 thanks to a 3 run homerun by Joe Girardi (yes Joe Girardi), but endeed up losing I think 13-7. Next one I went to was 99, Pedro vs Pettite again. This time it was a pitchers duel and Pedro pitched a complete game 1 hitter (a homerun to stop him from getting a shutout) striking out 17! Pettite pitched good bu the Yanks lost 3-1. The 3rd one wasn't really anything special except that it was supposed to be in April or May, and we went and sat suring a rain delay for 3 hours before it was canceled and had to come back in September.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
