Tonight, my wife's Cardinals beat the Chicago Cubs team that I was playing with in our two-player season, AT Wrigley Field. Folks, she is damn good at this game!!!!
The ONLY run I scored tonight was a solo shot in the bottom of the first by Sammy Sosa. From there she proceeded to strike out 23 of my batters and only allow 4 hits in the 12 inning game that we played. In the top of the 12th, her Cardinals put me in a huge hole, and with the Cubs having a very weak bench and not so great relief pitching core, I wound up using three pitchers in the top of the 12th. She scored three times on me, with three base hits, and thankfully left the bases loaded. Otherwise, the final score could have been 8-1 instead of 4-1
She has figured out this pitching, and constantly gets me out on curveballs down and fastballs up. Just recently we switched to Catcher-Medium hitting view, which is more realistic. But, I swear, tonight I was swinging at anything that wasn't the shape of a square.

Cardinals 3-12 6.47 ERA, .280 AVG
Reds 8-4 3.11 ERA, .314 AVG
When she learns to be more aggressive with sending runners from first, and learns to use the power button wtih guys like Pujols, Renteria, Edmonds, she will be a bastard to play
