This is why Oakland is the best!!!!!!
Ok i went to the game last night... Pitching was Mark Mulder... Great game I saw Chavez homer and steal a bag... sitting right by Eric Byrnes but the best part was after the game they had about half an hour of fire works after the 4-1 A's win.... But they let all the fans come onto the field for the fire works.... It was the sweetest thing... i was touching the grass.. and the fire works were the best ive ever seen....Tags: None -

I really like the A's too. The starting pitching staff is just amazing. I don't like what their owner did with making the field football and baseball though.

The A's ownership had nothing to do with the stadium being expanded, and basically killed. That was all Al Davis' doing. Oakland wanted them back so bad that they took it in the arse from Al and let him do whatever he wanted. No wonder the A's (and even the Raiders) can't sell the place out. The stadium now holds almost double the amount of people it used to back in the days of the Ice plant in the CF bleacher area.
I actually got to play on that field in high school my junior year. The NCS tournament semis and finals were held there. It was amazing to walk out there as a player, chill in the dugout, take BP, and pitch 4 innings in that game. We got smoked in the semi finals, but man, I will never forget that experience.Comment

I didn't mean the ownership, I meant Al Davis. Sorry I should have cleared that up. My uncle lives in Oakland, and he will never go to a game again until they get their own stadium. As for playing on the field, that is just awesome. It doesn't get any better than that.Comment
