ASB-I hit for cycle plus something new seen

I've done something never done before in my long history of playing baseball games all the way back to the NES, I've hit for the cycle!!! It happened with Fernando Vina against the Rockies in a 17 inning see saw battle. Vina got the triple he needed in the 17th vs Stark of COL and went on to score the GW run on a base hit by Pujols with one out Vina went 5/9 on the day in a wild one. The Cards fell behind 4-1 early then tied it in the 8th. The Rockies scored 3 in the 12 but so did St. Louis. Colorado took the lead in the 17th 8-7 but my Cards came back to win in the bottom half! I am almost through with my first season and this is the most fun I've ever had with a baseball video game. I am in a dogfight in the NL Central up 2 games on the Reds and 4.5 on HOU and CUB. I am 10-2 in Sept. Another interesting thing I saw in this game that nobody else has reported seeing is I tried to throw out a runner at the plate with Edmonds (something I've done a few times this year) and the BALL STUCK IN THE PITCHERS MOUND on the throw home. Talk about realism! Hope you enjoyed my story.

I've had throws from center field go off the mound, but never throws get stuck on the mound. That's pretty cool!

Congrats on hitting for the cycle. I've gotten pretty close a couple of times but I have never done it. 17 innings? That's crazy! Sounds like one heck of a game. I too had the ball stuck on the pitchers mound one time earlier this year.

I hit for the cycle just yesterday with Soriano, I had the triple, then home run, then single, then a double. I wouldn't have known but then I saw it pop up when it shows how many card points a certain feat is. It was pretty cool. I've had balls slow down after hitting the mound but never stuck. Awesome stuff. I hope ASB 2005 will bring many more surprises.

i kinda hit for the cycle a couple weeks ago. i had andruw jones and he had a homer, a double, then he got a triple. then at his next apearance at the plate, i wasnt paying attention that he was a single away from the cycle, so i get a good pitch and crank it into the gap, and i get a double!!! lol. so i ended the game 4-5. with 2 doubles, a triple, and a homer, when i could have just stopped at first.

I agree. It seems like they really spent a lot of time getting the stadiums just right, and how the ball plays in the stadium. Nice to see them paying attention to detail.
