    David Justice the commentator....

He did a pretty good job last night on ESPN2 calling the Blue Jays and White Sox game. Did anyone else catch it?

I wasnt 100% sure who that was last night. That was who I thought it was but I didnt know he had signed with ESPN. I thought he did a good job with the comparisons.

I think he will be good to hear on occassion, I dont think he is an every night announcer tho.

He isn't bad at analyzing players and plays because he is accustomed to today's baseball as well as the current players. I can tell that he's definately trying and not just sitting back in the booth making a comment here and there.

I heard him do the giants game and parts of some others and I hated it. He had some interesting things to say, about his experiances in the game and with other players, but I couldn't stand the rest of it, mostly regurgitated crap. And for a few innings his mike was messed up or something cus I had to crank the mother up just to hear his mumbling. He'd probably be better in spots, like pregame commentary or limiting his air time to stories or personal experiences, but calling a whole game is not for him.

Yeah, I think he's like Tony Gwynn and how he was on ESPN2 (mostly with the Cardinals).

He's definately a canidate for a Colour Commentator. I thought he did a good job of annalyzing hitting and running the basepaths. And stuff like that a player would know about.
