Yeah, that sucks. I hope the High Heat Series won't disappear.

Damn. Looks like I might have to settle for some other baseball game next year...

And I thought they were on the upswing. They did announce that this year they sold more games in the first few weeks than they ever had. I guess they were too far in the red that it didn't matter...

Nooo! High Heat is my favorite baseball game of all time. They have to keep making it.

Too much competition....this year there were several titles that played just as good but had better graphics, plus the "extras" (like classic stadiums and throwback unis and players) that HH didn't bother with.

HH became stagnant. They rested on their laurels and fell behind. They have no one to blame but themselves.

I played most of the games this year and I still don't see anyone that has HH's gameplay. Just my opinion though. Many said WSB did, but I didn't see it. I just never could get into any other game as much as I could with HH.

Positive is that they could pull through and a bigger positive is if someone buys the HH series and developers of the game, but has the cash to implement new features. That is in the realm of possibilities...

Don't be surprised if Acclaim follows suit in the upcoming months/years... There stock is WORSE off than 3DO's:

                    Acclaim: .63/share
                    3DO: 1. 33/share

Since 1999 3DO's High Heat Baseball series has declined in quality, when you consider the technology and tools available on a year to year basis. In other words, they just didn't stay ahead of the competition, or even keep up with it, in recent years.

I truely hope they hang in there. I am a big fan of the High Heat Series. I feel kind of bad though because this year I bought All Star BAseball. I would have gotten High Heat, but it is a blue botton disk and my PS2 stopped reading blue bottoms.
