Chris Reitsma throws complete game
against the Expos, the Reds winning 3-1. Reitsma threw 100 pitches, 66 of them being strikes. Quietly getting batters out on grounders, he struck out five and walked two, with the only run coming from a botched play by Aaron Boone at third. In the top of the third inning, Reitsma blooped a hit to center, that somehow managed to bounce over the center fielder's head, and roll to the wall. Reitsma slid into home with his 2-run inside-the-park homerun, clinching his fists in the air and yelling "I'm running home after the game to play some WSB 2K3!!!". The Reds improved to 8-11, and the husband managed to do absolutely NOTHING the whole night his wife was working at her new job. After the game, manager Tremere ran off to home, to log into Operation Sports, and write about the game, and think of how much housework he could get done in 2 1/2 hours.Tags: None -
Re: Chris Reitsma throws complete game
Funny post.
It's interesting to see what other Reds users discover in their franchises. I've had one pretty good outing with Reitsma in my franchise (I play ASB 04).
I'm shocked to see my best starter overall is Jimmy Anderson. Although he is 2-6, he has a 1.94 ERA and is 2nd in the league in that category. Talk about no run support.
The Reds struggled early (actually lost 13 straight) and now stand at 19-31. I've discovered another great starter in Jeff Austin. He's had four starts for me now and is 3-1 with a 2.04 ERA.
Who's my worst starter? Without a doubt--Jimmy Haynes. His 7.00+ ERA has prompted management to send his arse down to AAA.Congratulations BUTLER BULL DOGS!
