    Mo Vaughn is D O N E.....

ESPN: Vaughn could risk permanent injury if he returned

Don't know if this was posted yet.
I feel sorry for him, even though he as underachieved badly for the Mets he has always been a nice character guy.

Now they will be no more excuses to keep Piazza at Catcher. Mo ain't coming back, so might as well start working him on 1st when he gets back from injury.

He only goes to 1st after he breaks the record for most HR's by a catcher.

He only needs about 10 more HR's. Just get it over with and move him to 1b.

I thought Mo Vaughn retired like 4 years ago, or was that just his talent?

Anyways, Piazza would be even MORE of a liability at first base than at the position he has played since high school. Anybody who knows baseball knows that.

Sigh of relief for the Mets organization and good news for the Mets fans for many reasons. For one is that now the Mets can drop his contract. I believe hearing on our local radio station that if Mo Vaugh is out for 60 days/games(specific #, not sure what it is)due to an injury(I think it stated leg or just any injury) the Mets can cancel his contract and save themselves lots of dough. Any Mets fan can clarify this?
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "
                    - Lavar Arrington on his new Redskins teammate Sean Taylor.

He must have inherited the Angels curse after he bad mouthed them. The Angels win a world series and his career is probably over.

sorry for him? i think not..not with those poor stats and HUGE contract although the mets now only pay 25% and he doesn't even deserve that.
