Ken Griffey Jr. I definetely will vote for him and hope he starts. This is an exhibition game which should be a weekend filled with fun and relaxation. Not about worrying about your slumps or winning the game.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

Griffey? How could you vote for someone that has barely played when there are ALOT of deserving players like Sheffield, Pujols, A. Jones, or heck, even Corey Patterson? Sorry, but Griffey doesnt deserve it and its things like this that really bother me about fan voting. I am a GIGANTIC Braves and Astros fan, but I recognize that not all Braves and 'Stros deserve to go. Lance Berkman is probably my favorite player, but I cant vote for him because he isnt having a season worthy of an All-Star appearance. Its just my opinion but voting for players that dont deserve it, kind of cheapen the game in some ways. Just my 2 cents, please dont take offense at my comments, they arent meant as a slam to you, its just something that is a pet peeve of mine.

Performance counts for nothing in the all-star voting. Griffey is not even one of the three best outfielders on the reds this year, yet he has more votes than the league leaders in homeruns (Adam Dunn) and RBIs (Austin Kearns). But what ya gonna do.

Why are people still complaining? It's like this every year, so its nothing new. Where have you been?

I would love for it to be about stats only, but it is not. Its about the fans and who the fans want to see play. Therefore, anyone with the votes should get to play.

I voted my favorite player in, Griffey .. he doesnt deserve it since hes been injured, but actually .. he does deserve it since hes such a great guy and a future hall of famer.

Again, this is for the fans .. its been like this forever, its time for people to stop crying about it unless you were born yesterday.

Griffey just nailed 2 Homeruns tonight. 1 to tie the game and force extra innings, and the 2nd to give the Reds the lead and a chance to win the game! Doesn't get any better than the Kid.
