I dont understand why the Marlins were fined for not considering a minority manager...all sports are for some reason trying to institue some stupid rule that you have to consider a minority for the coaching job...How about the teams just go by the Guy they think is gonna do the best job or someone with the best crudentials....

that's the problem, they never do. They usually go with some guy that's been fired 3 times that someone in the organization is tight with. -

There's other sides to it too, I'm sure... I'm sure some coaches HAD applied for a managerial position, and upon being declined for the eventual manager, they were offered a coaching spot and a potential managerial spot in the event the hired manager gets ousted.. most of the times when managers get fired mid-season, the replacement is only "interim" anyway... and he, too, will be fired or demoted by the end of the year.Comment
