WSB something interesting i found
I was watching before a game the screen that shoes tips, and it said white button was for Quick Keys. I tried it in game, and it shows batting lineups, pitch counts, all kinds of stuff. It even shows where the last pitch went over the plate. Try it out, i never knew about it til now !Proud member of the OS Bills Backers.

Yup... I got PS2 version so I believe that is the R2 button, once you get the screen that shows "Due up", you can hit L1 to view lineups and L2 to show pitchers and pitch counts, how many IP, K's, walks, etc... there's also features on it that show you exactly how a ball crossed the strikezone and stuff. -

It's a cool feature, but I think it's a bit incomplete. If I am not mistaken, in those screens there is a bar to represent the status of the pitcher, but they don't work. It should have included stats for last ten pitches, for example. Wouldn't it be nice to see if your velocity in general has started to drop? In this game they should have included career stats against certain pitchers and teams. IMO the best part about the "white button" feature is that you can see who the next several batters are. My method of doing would have been to show more detailed stats about the batter coming to the plate, such as to the side of the batter, and more detailed about the pitcher, such as career performance against that specific batter, etc. I just think that backing the user out of the game to view rather simple stats breaks the continuity of the game, and is an inconvenience.Comment

I don't know what you mean about being an inconvenience. Those are the kinds of stats you want to see, and who is coming up next. You don't have to use it if you don't want to, so how is it inconveniencing you?
Also, the career stats you are talking about are meaningless in a video game. You won't be pitching like the real life pitcher, and you won't be looking for the same pitches as the real life batter... unless of course you have esp or something. And even then, the game itself won't ever act exactly like real baseball.Comment
