Statistically I HATE when this happens.... (WSB2K3)

I'm playing a game last night, I jump off to a 4-0 lead... they peck away and make it 4-3, I get a couple, they get a couple, finally bottom of the 8th, my starter is still going (Kerry Wood), and the score is 7-6 me... I'm warming up my closer for the bottom of the 9th. (Uggy)

Top of the 9th I lace together a ton of hits, after pinch hitting for Wood, and wind up topping it off with a grand slam, and then I'm stuck bringing in my closer with him getting nothing out of it as far as saves go. He winds up giving up a run, and the final wound up being 15-7.

On one hand I don't believe in "letting up" on the offense at any point of the game, ESPECIALLY against a CPU opponent, but on the other hand I sometimes feel like just taking a dive in the last inning so my closer can get some stats.

I've also had times I enter the 9th with a 3-run lead, and while my closer is warming up, i'll have one of my guys accidentally hit a solo shot off a contact swing, JUST enough to screw up a save opp for me closer. D'oh!

I totally agree...seems to happen to me a lot.

Also, for instance, hitting for the cycle...I think have hit a HR, 3B, 2B in about 5~10 games. Often, I only need a single in my last AB...what do I get? The guy smashes it into the gap. I don't really believe in letting up, so his line finishes at HR, 3B, 2-2B. I finally decided I wanted a cycle last time, and the exact situation came up...he smashed a gapper to the wall, but I held him up at first just so I could get the cycle.
Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a ttoal jmulbe and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

    amzanig huh?

I've never heard anyone be disappointed for hitting a home run.

None of this would be an issue if you played on Legend mode, fast speed, small cursor, and correct sliders.

It shouldn't be that easy to score that many runs in a close game like that in one inning.

And if it is, you should play as a worse team, or stop playing the damn game so much, and go outside, its summer. Jeezus.
