    Congratulations Kelvarr!
That is one tough feat to accomplish! Especially on generated count because you could be faced with being behind in the count and thats always tough. Right now I have 20 HRs with Jason Giambi in 57 games. I can't see him getting more than 60 at most. Good job once again.

    Thanks...

the feat (73 HR) looks easy to break...but in reality, you have to keep up a torrent pace to even come close to it. I was honestly surprised and very proud of the fact that I beat it. In other games (last year's ASB), it wasn't a big deal to break that mark about 2/3's way through the season. This year's ASB, I broke it in the next to last game of the season...and then only because Pujols hit a HR in 10 consecutive games.

I'd believe that... I had hit 8 homeruns with Brian Giles in the first 5 games... then he went on a 2 week slump, then I smacked out 10 more in the next 2-3 weeks, then another little slump, now I'm about 40 games in and he's got 22 or 23 now... I had just hit my first homerun with him in like 7 games when I was playing last night.

I play on Veteran, for some strange reason it seems harder than All-Star to me. CPU seems more of a challenge on Veteran.

Man are you going to have to pony up the dough when it's time to resign Pujols.

Luckily, I aquired him at the trading deadline two years ago, then signed him to a 7- year, 40 point contract. That is a lot, but I have him signed for 5 more years at 40 points.

I have switched back and forth between Veteran and All-Star. I actually played about half the games on each...

I noticed that too, that the CPU gives a little more challenge on Veteran than on All-Star. In fact, that is why I started going with the generated count because without it on Veteran or All-Star, I would hardly ever lose, and I wouldn't get a proper amount of strikeouts with my pitchers or strikeouts and walks with my hitters. Now, with generated count on, I get proper amounts of both.

One other thing I do, is only keep like 2~3 guys on my roster that make more than 30 points a year. If a guy is over 30 y/o, I also tend to get rid of him (although in Pujols case, I will prolly keep him around to see if he can break Aaron's (prolly soon to be Bonds...he's at 707, but 41 years old) record). I trade my proven veterans for rookies, thus letting me keep my payroll low...

Although in a big market like Chicago (White Sox), coupled with two World Series victories, you tend to get some market points.
