You know what would be best, if Sammy hits a homerun in his next game and saws the bat in half right there and there is no cork, that'd be great.

Ask anybody that know about bodybuilding and weight traning, for Bonds to put on the weight that he did, at the age he did, in the short time that he did, is almost impossible.

Bonds is as much of a scumbag as Sammy if he corked his bat. And McGwire, I bet he never used anthing to enhance his performance either.

Let's look at the real problem in baseball, poor pitching and too many teams. When we get rid of a few teams and get solid pitching through the league, HRs will go down.

You're an idiot. How can you start in on the "well Bonds is on steroids" thing 'cuz Sosa got busted? What the hell? Bonds is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF SOSA, think about it

Sosa- Blows kisses to the camera and showboats
Bonds- For the most part only talks to bay area media, stays quiet.

Sosa- Obsessed with home run records
Bonds- Doesn't care, Just wants a ring.

Sosa- Always swinging at pitches in the dirt
                          Bonds- Setting ungodly walk records

Sosa- simply put, not a very smart player, or individual
Bonds- When he does talk, it is usually something profound, not just funny

                          Sosa- "Please, everybody love me"
Bonds- "Leave me alone and let me play my game"

Now, if you prefer Sosa to Bonds, that's fine if that's your style. If you dislike them both, that's fine too. But to convict Bonds because Sosa is busted is just flat out wrong.

First, have you checked out how many walks Sosa has drawn in the last 5 years? THe idea that he just flails away at everything is pretty outdated.

Do you have any clue on Sosa intelligence, he wasn't educated, grew up in a spanish speaking country, yet totally outclassed Mcgwire in dealing with the Media, I think he acquits himself pretty well given his background.

I have never hears Sosa say, "please everyone love me" in fact usually he says that he has to be himself, yah he does want people to like him, but most normal people do.

Finally as a Bonds fan don't you get tired of all the wild speculation about Bonds and steroids, yet here you are participating in Sosa bashing. Yah he used an illegal bat, he will get suspended, but lets not pretend like our world has changed.

On the size and weight thing, if it was so obvious by weight which bat was corked then why did he put a "c" on it?

As I stated earlier in this thread many players have more than one bat specifications, it is not a given that all players can tell their favorite bat just by picking it up.
