Re: Going to a Nationals game, need advice

Well guys it was a fun time. My coworker pointed me out to a pretty crappy lot. It was really close so i was happy with that. And even though i expected them to lose i supported the home team. And for the first 7 innings i saw what you guys were talking about. Well the 8th is all thats important because thats when they won it .

I got some good laughs from the crowd. It was so pathetic everytime they tried to get the crowd involved. Only 3 people would yell charge and no one clapped in sync.

One question i do have. Whats up with Dunn? I mean i have seen teams adjust the d for a pull hitter but to put the third baseman in right field? Does that always happen to him? Does that happen to other hitters? I have seen big adjustments before, but that was extreme.

I believe David Ortiz has a shift like that, and who can forget Barry Bonds' shift too.
They play it like that because that is where they hit the ball 99% of the time, either pulled or hit to left center.
And if Dunn wants to just go ahead and get on base with a single by hitting it to where the 3B would be, go ahead. Better than serving up a homerun.

I remember Dave Winfield one time bunted for a hit, and the 1B or whatever said to him "Hey, man we'll take that! Better than you hitting one out or lining it into the gap!"

I'm glad the Nats pulled it out. I heard updates when they were down 4-0 and thought "Yep, he's going to see a normal Nats/Marlins game." but props for sticking it out and seeing the comeback.

Why did this get a yellow card?

If you click on the card it'll tell you what it's for.

Should give him a card for not knowing that.

You wouldn't be able to pay me to watch a live Natinals game. Major props to you for attending.

You wouldn't let someone pay you to go enjoy a beautiful night at the ballpark, watching a team like the Phillies, Red Sox, Cubs, etc. beat a bad baseball team?

I love the Natinals and love going to the ballpark, even if they get killed. Spending time outdoors watching baseball is awesome.

Yeah, I think any baseball fan on the planet would want to watch that game.
