    - FOX Saturday baseball is ********.

    - Wild Card Sucks with unbalanced scheduels is retaded.

    - Interleague play is unfair for some teams but good for fans

    - World Series and Pennet games need to be played at 12 Pacific time

i must say baseball has alot of problems, supposed rampant drug use, dilluted talent, teams losing money, but still baseball is the game in which some of the greatest players in all of sports have played. yes i hate the yankees since i am an o's fan, and yes i feel revenue sharing should be in the game, i also feel that a rod you make way too much money, baseball get with the program lets get a salary cap. none of this luxry tax crap. but name one sport a dad can really hand down to his kid, football kind of, basketball no way kids learn that out on the playground. but baseball is handed from father to son, when i think of baseball i think of cal ripken and my dad. that means something. and in terms of teaching kids the team concept baseball is the best, a team game played by a team going for one common goal. football teams can win superbowls with just a defense, and basketball teams can win with just one star player, hockey teams can win the cup on the back of a goalie, but it takes a whole team to win the series. that is why i love baseball and think baseball is doing just fine. ok i'm off my soap box now.

Think about it. Bud Selig wants to make baseball a "national sport", which is morally wrong. It's all about money. The interleague play IMO is really just a stepping stone toward the game becoming a national sport. Why? Because fans are now becoming used to seeing teams play each other out of league, when that should be happening only during the World Series. Soon they'll want to know if teams can play teams from other countries. I would be willing to be everything that ithis is what is happening, and years from now when Selig is happily living on retirement and snickering at the state of the game "that he helped to destroy then create", fans will be wondering what happened to America's game.

                  <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

That is a scary thought, and the worst thing is it sounds like it is possible to happen.

Sorry I'm so slow to get back into this thread I started.

Just got back from interviewing at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

And in a new twist, the league decided that players will no longer wear their team uniforms in the All-Star Game.

                              I kid you not.
