    Re: Red Sox/Tigers Brawl

There is no way he would have done it on purpose.

    1. Look at his reaction. Does not look like it was intentional. He didn't even know it was coming for after Youks was halfway there.
    2. The Tigers were up 3-0 in the 1st. How many times has that happened?
    3. He's young, so he'll occasionally lose control.
    4. After he got ejected, we had to put in our long relief guy, which is more or less like conceding. Remember his performance at the Minnesota game (11-0...)?

Although it was funny to see Youkilis get tossed by a 20 year old skinny pitcher.

Well, at least Minnesota got flattened by Kansas. And CHW are down 1-0 against Seattle.

Boston defiantly got helped by getting to face a bum rather than Porcello.

Edit: Is Baseball Tonight seriously faulting Porcello for not "drifting" towards the Tigers dugout when Youkilis charged him? LOL,OK

This is not the case. I remember a White Sox game where the pitcher went to throw at a player, missed, and that was the end. He was optioned down the next day. Also, missing high and in, and then hitting him would proabably result in ejection anyway.

Porcello went after 2 of the Red Sox batters, but he surely could have picked a better target...

EDIT: You can find a description of the contreversy here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_Tracey No video, though

Youk is a crazy maniac. I'm a Reds fan, but the guy looks crazy. That's why I like him.

Baseball fights are so funny. I'm waiting for one of the fielders to just blindside a guy charging the mound. That would be HILARIOUS. Up there with Nolan Ryan headlocking Robin Ventura.

Psssh, hardly. Porcello was on the defensive the whole time, he just got lucky that Youk tripped over his legs when he was driving him back for a takedown. Youk would've killed him if both teams hadn't jumped in after they hit the ground. The dude looks like a cold-blooded killer. I don't blame Porcello, only a 20 year old himself, for being so defensive.

Nah, that was a pretty good trip takedown, not a "lucky" trip...

Only thing Youk coulda done worse was go in head first and end up in the Nolan Ryan headlock lol

Maybe because the pitcher was only 20 and Kevin probably viewed him as just being a kid...he probably didn't really wont knock his head off, but more less just take him to the ground.

Edit...I know he threw his helmet at him, but it was more of a "toss" than a "throw" imo.
