It's funny that players make their way to your favorites list just because they helped beat the Yankees in a single regular season game. Shows how pathetic the teams you cheer for are.

I like the ones that beat the yankees in the post-season:

Lew Burdette, Bill Mazeroski, Sandy Koufax, Bob Gibson, Johnny Bench, Ron Cey/Steve Yeager, and last but not least, Luis Gonzalez. They all have a special place in my personal Hall of Fame

Hey, at least other players beat us instead of teams like the Red Sox, who just beat them selves.

Re: I love Juan Acevedo and Eric Karros!!!

I was recently watching the Ken Burns' documentary about Baseball and I they were covering the 1960' series when Maz won it for the Pirates then had a whole bunch of Yankee fans cry about how difficult it was to take-- I mean, what the Hell? They won all the time back then, but they've got more vivid memories from the one time they didn't win.

And it's then that I began to pity Yankee fans, because they have to win all the time at all costs or they're unhappy.
They're an absolutely demented fan base. How many yankee yahoos do you read on here, talking about getting EVEN MORE players. It's sad. It really is.
