Updated Sliders - Cursor batting 6/8/03 06-08-2003 05:43 PM

I am getting very realistic scores, walks and stats with these in my franchise.

Updated - Sliders are for Cursor Batting - 6/8/03 (Giants 2003)

56 - Raise this if you hit to well
39 - Lower if cpu hits to well raise to make them hit worse
57

35
46

I am still getting a good ratio of walks and balls with these for both sides.

Settings i use with these sliders are

Level - Allstar *** changed from pro to Allstar on 6/1
Custom sliders
Fast pitch - Go very fast pitch if the pitch speeds are too low for you
Very small cursor
Variable pitch - HIGH - I like this setting more then Medium
Pitch cursor - off
sTRIKE ZONE - off
Errors - Normal
Vibration - ON
Standard hitting cursor only

Looks great, dude! Please post your stats, more specifically the number of walks you are giving and getting. Second of importance to me would be how many balls are being thrown by your pitchers and by your opponents' pitchers.

Ok i will right here - I lost my first year comming in second place by 7.5 games to the Dbacks and i missed the wild card by 3.5 games. I am now in year 2

Game #1 vs the Padres at Pacbell

Pads- 8-12-1
Giants-6-9-1

I worked the pads for 3 walks
I walked them 2 times

Game #2 (in progress top 3)

Pads0-2-0
Giants-1-2-0

As for pitch counts i dont look at them very often but they are realistic schmidt was tired in the 7th inning so the counts are fine. I used these last year also but dont have all the scores from the previous season any more i would recommend you try them see if you like them or not.

I hear a lot of people saying that they walked two batters. That isn't very realistic. Many pitchers in the majors (in real life) walk quite a few batters. Some walk nearly a batter per inning. This needs to be fixed in WSB 2K4, desperately. I don' think you fixed that with your slider settings, but everything else looks great!

Well i beleive you are right but that isnt my goal my goal was to make the game play as real as i think it can be played. I was more frusterated i wasnt getting enouph walks then me giving up walks.

Padres have 1 Walk so far so the balls to strikes are very good on these and the guy i just knocked outta the game last inning for the Padres had a pitch count of Pitches/strikes 51-36
and the releiver was 12-6 with 3 walks 2 by the starter one by the reliever

My pitch count is 56-36 with one walk


You are right that needs tweaking next year Only HH had this part of video baseball down right and maybe ASB but i couldnt play ASB any longer.

I don't know if it's because of the camera angles, which they should give us lots of options on, but at least on the catcher-high and catcher-medium camera modes, it is very difficult to tell which pitches are low in the strike zone and which pitches are below the strike zone. In other words, too many of the pitches are border-line strikes, there need to be more obvious balls.
