    It's just a fact that the men who play these days are bigger, stronger, faster, etc. Yes, some of that may be attributed to things that aren't fair, but I think most of it is because of the fact of them just getting stronger, bigger, etc.

      actually guys that far back WERE hitting balls 500 feet.. ted williams longest homerun at least at fenway is 504 i think..

      and yeah, i dont think anyoen hits 500 regularly.. jd drew.. who is small compared to most of these guys hit one 514 last month.. he has unbeleivable power for a person his size.
