Look for them to dump Jeff Weaver to Texas soon for Urbina.

I don't think Weaver's going for Urbina. Texas supposedly is more interested in dumping salary and will accept lesser prospects for Urbina.

Nope, look for them to hold an auction between the Yankees and Red Sox for Urbina.

I have heard the Yanks have cooled on Urbina because he's in his contract year, and aren't sure how he would react being a setup man (same goes for Benitez). With the Sox, either would be the closer. But they won't trade Weaver for him (especially with Contreras out), and they won't give up one of their top prospects for him (Claussen), at least right now.

I did hear Hicks seriously wants to move salary and might be more interested in getting rid of the salary (guys like Urbina, Everett, Raffy- guys in their contract years) than getting top notch prospects for them. But who knows how it will play out.

man what happenned to Jeter. Just all that partying did catch up to him. Anyways that injury must be affecting so give him some time. Anyways the yanks remind me of the lakers and will turn on the switch in the october which is why a lot people hate them.

I don't know about that, we didn't turn it on in October last year. I really don't have much doubt that this team will win the East, and go to the playoffs. We just have to much talent not too. But the one thing I haven't seen all year is clutch hitting, something you have to have in the postseason, so I'm not all that confident that we will go very far in the playoffs.

Soriano K'in is nothing new, Jeter is a problem though. He just looks clueless up there with no patience. They REALLY need to fire Downs, the hitting coach.
