The Bosox will block that trade for Urbina... they will either get him back first or they must get someone just as good.

I don't think the Bosox will let that happen.

what the yankees is missing is Paul O'neil and Tino Martinez.... leadership

Sox are powerless to block any deal now. After the July 31st deadline, then they can block it.

I'm surprised I don't see the name Bernie Williams anywhere in here... the Yanks have gone in a nose-dive since Bernie went down with that knee injury, they've missed him twice as much as they missed Jeter. I think they should rethink who wears that C.

Well said. I think Bernie deserves to be captain, regardless of what people say about him being too quiet. His presence on the field is enough and he's been on the Yankees the longest. Its time that he gets the respect he deserves.

Bernie is a great presence in the club house and when batting but in the field he has really lost a step. I think within the next couple of years he will be playing a corner outfield position and more DH.

I agree with that. We don't have the veteran clutch hitters anymore. We can blow a lot of teams out, but when it comes down to a close game where we need a big hit, no one comes up with it.

I hope the Yanks are moving Weaver in the Urbina trade, especially for Weaver's sake. The poor guy just isn't going to develope correctly in that atmosphere-- they'll either neglect or abuse him in their demented and unnatural need for continually domination. I could give a crap if the Yanks win every year as long as they aren't destroying the careers of the young kids who play on their team.
