I just got WSB 2k3 because I enjoyed last year's version and because everybody was saying that it was the best baseball game this year. Maybe it's because of MVP and ASB, but I can hardly stand this years version. Here's why:
1. Batting animations: come on now, these are the worst things I've ever seen in my life. Can anyone honestly say these don't bother them when they're pitching?
2. Commentation: After playing for 3 hours I've already turned off the commentation because it's completely obvious and annoying.
3. Many other animations look stupid and unrealistic.
4. You have to make up all four of the lineups and depth charts. This may seem like a minor problem, but ASB does allow you to copy your lineup.
5. Pitching: While the pitches are faster this year on "very fast", they seem to float up to the plate. Last year's pitches, while slow, seemed to be realistic. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? I think MVP may have spoiled me in this area.
Other than that, the game isn't bad, but I don't understand why people think it's the best of all the games this year.
