Well, you're complaining about the game, yet you're part of the problem. The Yankees are edited far too highly in WSB 2K3. If you want to play realistically, then play with another team. Otherwise, quit griping.

i raised JD drew up.. so intead of being 65/65 ish with average and homerun.. he is more like 75/75

he has like 9 homers.. he is hitting 320ish.. and he has only been allowed to play every other day cuz of his injury.. looks back to me

i think id actually make nick johnson higher then a 75.. or at least raise his potential signfificantly.

also had to raise zambrano, prior and wood's ratings.. i mean.. when you sim with them as is.. they dont put up very good numbers.. they definately need some upgrade-ege.

Amen to that! The ratings are assigned pretty fairly "as is". I have two philosophies for not editing ratings:

                        (a) it would be tempting to edit players that don't need to be edited, and eventually would result in overkill; and

                        (b) it's more work than the consumer bargained for. We pay a pretty penny for a game that only costs the publishing house pennies to make. I'm buying a product that I EXPECT to be complete and realistic. I'm not a guinea pig nor willingly a beta product tester.
