I'm glad. Player's union was stupid to let this happen to begin w/. But when people do something like this w/the promise of confidentiality, I think it sets a bad precedent for the results to become public knowledge.

Yeah I heard about this yesterday. It seems the feds were just a bit TOO aggressive in collecting evidence though now I wonder just how many people had access to and read the list. It'd be interesting if someone with knowledge of the list just comes out and gives all the names up.

The MLBPA claims anyone who leaks it out would be committing a crime. I don't know if the judge ruled on that aspect of the case. But if the union's position is true, no one is going to openly release the names. Its going to be a clandestine affair.

This is good news but it is a little late. Part of me wants all of the names in the open now, so there is no speculation of who's on the list. Ortiz, A-Rod, Manny, Clemens they were already outed, so what, are they left out to dry as the poster boys? With the MLPA keeping it secret again there will be even more speculation then there already is. It's like a bad fight with your girl, you already got caught, so you might as well let it all out so we can move on. I don't know, just my thoughts.

It's about time... too late actually, but better late than never. BTW, anyone who already leaked names committed crimes and that's not new info. I'd like to see more effort in identifying those people and then punishing them. It's a really big deal bc no player of any sport will cooperate with an anonymous survey unless they can have some comfort that their rights will be honored.

The MLBPA calling someone else criminal, that's funny.

While I do think it's BS that only certain names are being leaked to destroy players reputations, I don't have much sympathy for them.

I don't incriminate the players as much b/c rather than thinking of it as blasphemy, it's more of a case of fan's tolerance.

I wish these players would realize that if they would confess, apologize and move on that life would be easier. When I think of Andy Pettitte, for example, I barely think about his positive test. He fessed up, explained what he used it for and moved on - without having it linger for months.

I really wish they'd just release all of the names b/c it's inevitable that eventually every one will be "leaked".
