    a message for drayton mclane

your team here in houston has the making of something special, only if you open up your pocket book and go acquire a third quality pitcher for this club. this club will not go far this season with the likes of jeremy robertson and jonthan johnson, it just won't happen. their are many fans here in houston that feel you have cheated us because you have made a promise that in reality you haven't kept.

drayton do us all a favor here in houston and go get a 3rd quality pitcher for this club, because if you don't your team will be at home in the postseason.

He went and got a pitcher. Might be a thrid quality pitcher but i doubt it.He signed Ron Villone to a minor league contract. Now that is opening up your pocket book. Draton isn't going to spend on more money since he spent all that money on Kent. Dont expect draton to spend anymore money for a long while. At least until we get ALOT of these big contracts done.

woaah Villone... now we should DEFINITELY be able to win a championship!

See and I was SO looking forward to getting rid of wagner next season. That would be free about 13 million under the salary cap that we could spend on getting a top notch starter. But don't think that's gonna happen. I heard Wagner just signed a 1 year contract extension. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! There goes my hopes and dreams down the drain.

What's with all the Drayton bashing? I've always been an Astros fan and I want to see them win the series, but it's not my money being spent. The Astros could use a 3rd starter, and Hunsicker will get one from somewhere. In the past the Astros have gotten Randy Johnson who did great in the regular season but he couldn't get the Astros past San Diego. I was all for the trade and it would have been even better if Houston could have resigned Randy, but we sure could use Freddy Garcia now. Perhaps Clemens would have been the best fit, but that's another story.

A couple of years ago the 'Stros got Pedro Astacio from the Rockies and at the time he was the best available. Unfortunately his shoulder was injured and he had to hang it up. The Astros didn't give up much to get him so no big deal.

Without a doubt the starting pitching as a whole must pick it up if the 'Stros are to outpace the Cards, Cubs, and Reds. Miller has pitched much better and looks to be back on track and if Oswalt can stay healthy all is well. Redding has done a fine job rounding out the rotation, but hopefully he'll continue to improve. Let's get another starter, but let's get the right one.

you know why we didn't resign randy johnson. ITS BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT TO PLAY FOR HOUSTON.
