    WSB Franchise with the REDS-2003

Anyways im 29-10 and chuck finley is my ace. i signed him at the begining of the season. my 1-2 punch is finley and dempster. also my scout found this prospect in the middle of April with a rating of 71 and (A) potential. he made a start in may and has been working in may. this kid is taking in some relive work and he's made 1 start so far were he threw a cg shutout with 14'ks against the cardinals. anyways down the stretch im going to use this kid as a sp and reliever. he is only 18. this is so cool. he is like f-rod from last year with the angels except it's early in the year. he's name is matt linton. Has anyone found some prospect like this in the middle of their franchise where they were amaze and had to start him. no draft picks. so your scout has to find him.

My scout found a 72 rated SP with B potential. I made him my #5 starter in the following season, because I already had a strong pitching staff.

My scout found a relief pitcher with B potential and a 77 rating... when in the minors they had him as "qualified for mop-up "now"... so I called him up, so far in two appearances, he put in two innings and has yet to allow a run, earned or unearned.

I don't pay too much attention to what my minor league manager says because sometimes he'll say a guy is ready now, and when I check again, it says he'll be ready in a year or two.

I only take some in serious consideration... my minor league manager kept insisting that Tom Prince was ready to backup Kendall "now"... I wasn't having any of it....lol

But when he mention my rookie prospect was ready for mop-up "now", I rolled the dice, and am using him in "non-critical" situations at this point... so far he's only entered games with over a 4-run lead.

I was screwed over by a guy my scout found in the Dominican. A 19 year old Centerfielder with A- potential. I went to sign him, but, he signed with the Diamondbacks instead. I was a little upset only b/c I had plans to move him to RF, but it wasn't that big of a loss since Rocco is my CF. I seem to have trouble signing good prospects, maybe its b/c I'm the Devil Rays and none of the prospects my scouts find want to play for me. Who knows.
