It's because he was hit in the head by a fastball. The helmet was specifically made for him, providing more cushion between the helmet and his head. If everybody wore those, in a year or two we would all be used to it and probably wouldn't think nothing of it. Everything new looks weird at first. Heck I think I look strange every time I get a haircut until I finally get used to it.Comment

There is nothing wrong with that helmet at all. They showed the inside of it last night on Baseball Tonight and it looked like there was A LOT of padding in it. I think it will protect all of them extremely well!Comment
