Pitching duels... not even "pitcher" duels, but "pitching" duels, where you gotta know when to start warming up the pen, to bring in the leftie or the rightie, that sorta thing.

Pitcher's duels..

From a player standpoint, I like going up to the plate thinking that getting a hit will change the whole atmosphere..

I don't mind pitching duels OR slugfests, but what I DO mind is blowouts. I don't like to go to a game where there's a slugfest only on one side, unless my Giants are the ones slugging them out.

I would much rather see a lower scoring ballgame than some slugfest. Pitching is much more a chess game than hitting. I love watching those 1-0 and 2-1 ball games because of all the strategy that is involved. Baseball then becomes an even more enjoyable game to watch

I like seeing two pitchers really go at it. It's much more interesting to see how a manager actually, you know MANAGE a game where all the runs matter. It's always more intriguing to see a pitcher set up batters on a great sequence of pitches which is why I always enjoy watching Roy Halladay when he's on the mound for the Jays.

Slugfests are fine too but those games tend to drag out a bit with relievers coming into the game almost every inning or even during innings. I'd rather see a cohesive and fast moving game where there is more emphasis on "whoever scores first may ultimately win".
