The only thing funnier than this would have been what would have happened to Vincente Padilla if Mike Lieberthal hadn't tackled Adam Dunn last weekend.

I just watched this on ESPNews and holy jesus! Farnsworth absolutely destroyed Wilson! I bet you he learned that spear from Goldberg. The next time Farnsworth comes out to pitch they should play Goldberg's theme music, like they did in the movie "Major League" for Charlie Sheen when they played wild thing. Ha!

I never thought I'd see a pitcher charge the mound against another pitcher. This was a bigger mismatch than Nolan Ryan noogin' the hell out of Ventura. Farnsworth wasn't even close to hitting him with the pitch. Wilson got what he deserved for charging the mound and being such an idiot. Wilson got speared into the ground and got bloodied up real bad. I don't think Wilson is going to be charging any more pitchers any time soon. The funny part was watching Farnsworth in the dugout. He was smiling the whole time. Did you guys see Dusty getting into it with Knight. There were a few shoves exchanged. Finally, baseball was exciting to watch for at least 10 minutes.

Re: Kyle Farnsworth and Paul Wilson

I'm wondering if anyone saw the post game wrap-up on Fox Chicago?

The only reason is because they showed a replay from behind home plate. From this angle you can see that Farnsworth's first punch didn't connect. Wilson turned and had his head behind another player. Farnsworth actually hit him in the middle of the back. After that, there were 100 players on top of Wilson, so I'm not sure what happened.

Anyway, yes, Farnsworth kicked the crap out of Wilson. The spear did it. But I think the cuts on Wilson (nose and cheek) might have been more from the pile up rather than Farsnworth.

Don't get me wrong. Farnsworth kicked his rear. And I saw the picture, but that was actually taken right as the two hit the ground (after the spear).

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else saw this replay from behind home. The one from the centerfield camera looks like he whipped he butt, however the other shows it slightly different.

But Wilson did get it handed to him.

The game is being replayed right now and (lucky me!) Farnsworth is pitching in the 7th. I can't wait to see it.
