                  i understand now, smoltz loses one game in 70 something straight appearances and all of a sudden he is a bad closer.

                        I pitch got away from Javy and then a weenie hit that just made it out of the infield.

                        I would rather have you hit a walkoff. Those hits piss me off until the next game on TV.

                              Wasn't it the Braves who pounded Gagne earlier this year for like 6-7 runs?

                              I remember him throwing his glove as he got into the dugout throwing a fit

                              Invincible? Laughable.

                              Smoltz is by far the better closer, has better stuff. Plus, you won't ever see Smoltz displaying such charater as Gagne, throwing gloves into dugouts.

                              Overrall, Smoltz is the better pitcher.
