WSB2k3 - HOmeplate collisions...
I changed the injuries to off and now everytime I try doing a homeplate collision between the cather and I. It never happens anymore. And it always worked when I had Injuries on. But now the Catcher just puts his glove on the plate to tag me out. Does this happen to anyone else and do you know if the Injuries being off has anything to do with it?Tags: None -
Re: WSB2k3 - HOmeplate collisions...
Mmm, I think it has something to do with the size of the player. I didn't get a collision for a while with Jeter or Soriano, but I've gotten them with Giambi and Drew Henson (6'5 230) and once the ball came loose. Maybe it's just a coincidence, who knows."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: WSB2k3 - HOmeplate collisions...
It's all about when the ball arrives at the plate... it's really tough to get a good collision at the plate. There'd prolly be more, but the CPU seems to analyze they aren't going to get you and opt NOT to throw home... many times I was about 5 steps from the plate as the cutt-off man got the ball and opted to eat it. I think IF he'd have thrown, there MAY have been a play.Comment

Re: WSB2k3 - HOmeplate collisions...
Is there a real button to push for it to happen, or does it just happen on it's own?
The best one ever was when it was the bottom of the 9th, I was the Dodgers against the Giants. I was down by one with runners on second and third. I got a base hit, and one run scored, Shawn Green rounded third and made his way home. I saw the throw coming and I thought I was gonna be out, and he just lowered his shoulder and rammed the catcher into the dirt and won the game.Comment

Oh boy.. .you kinda make me laugh.
There is no player scaling in WSB... even though it shows height and weight on the stats and stuff, it doesn't affect ONE thing on this game. It was just coincidence for you, considering I knocked over Charles Johnson with Marvin Benard.Comment
