hh: strategy tips

i been playing hh2004 on the xbox for a month now, am up to 10 games in my franchise mode with the mets now and i seem on not getting a hang of hitting and pitching in mvp level (w/default sliders).

Can somebody, who doing very well in mvp level, whose using default sliders, give me any strategy and/or tips on hitting and pitching in mvp level. I greatly appreciate it.

I play on All-Star w/ default sliders but the advice can be used for you as well.

For pitching: 1) Try to always throw a stike, first. It never helps when your behind in the count. Also, strategy is very important so if your facing someone who's a monster (Bonds, Thome, Helton) don't be worried to give them a pass.

For hitting: I really don't know except for these things:

1) Try and get ahead in the count b/c the pitchers will be forced to throw strikes allowing you to get some good hits.

2) Get some speedy guys in the #'s 1 and 2 spots of your lineup so you have some quickness on the basepaths.

3) If one of those speedsters is in a slump, try bunting for a basehit.

There's some basic tips for ya.
