    Interesting Statistic

    The Detroit Tigers have had 36 quality starts (at least six innings, three or fewer earned runs) this season by their pitching staff. Detroit is 13-23 in those games.

    Theres another example of how W-L record should almost never be looked at.

    Gotta hate to be Mike Maroth...

                And here's the flip-side of the equation: Roy Halladay has 11 wins with 10 quality starts...

                ... of course, Roy has made five combined starts against the Yanks and BoSOX, and while he pitches in a hitter's park where runs go up on the board quickly, he always seems to do enough to get his club the victory.

                  And here's the flip-side of the equation: Roy Halladay has 11 wins with 10 quality starts...

                  ... of course, Roy has made five combined starts against the Yanks and BoSOX, and while he pitches in a hitter's park where runs go up on the board quickly, he always seems to do enough to get his club the victory.

                            Yeah if Lidle was on the Tigers he'd be 1-10 too.

                            I just looked at Maroth and his whip is 1.22. That could be the lowest whip ever for a 15 game loser, which he will be.
