depends on the stadium. for fishbauch i went for left handed hitting and left handed relievers. also contact. usually i go for contact and defense. then i at least go for 1-2 power hitters. if i don't get any power hitters i try and trade for one. in the Arkansas Armadillos i traded and got Richie Sexson for Jeremy Giambi and a pretty good SP. can't remember who it was. then i traded Chuck Finley, Carlos Guillen and a top prospect pitcher for Ben Sheets and Royce Clayton. i had to get my favorite Brewers on my team. i got Sexson, Sheets, and a drafted Scott Podsednik with the first pick. i love expansion teams.
    Teams:

    NFL - Packers & Browns
    MLB - Brewers & Twins
NCAA Football - Wisconsin, LSU, Virginia Tech
    Soccer - Arsenal, Wolverhampton
    NHL - Wild

I always go for the good pitching first. Then I want to draft mostly contact hitters with a few power hitters. I try and get a couple quality defensive players too.

I didn't overthink it, i just drafted the best player available, sort of.
My first pick went to Durazo, ,b/c the cpu always picks hatteberg, ,and then durazo is gone.
I wound up with Durazo, Durham, Erstad, , Kendall(who was quickly replacecd by JOHNNY ESTRADA--one of the best secrets in ASB is estrada), Jason Tyner was my leadoff man, an A contact rating and A speed, after starting slow he did very well. McLemore was my SS.
I traded for BELTRAN. My OF had SPEED out the wazoo. ERSTAD, TYNER, BELTRAN. THere was not anything we couldn;t catch.
Andy Ashby, Jon Rauch, Erica Junge, Aaorn SEle were some of my SPs. Trtaded Sele and someone else to Yanks for Wells.
Created a Lefty SP, had to do it, couldn't resist. He was fatter than wells, but threw awesome junk.
My pen had MacDougal, Bong(who didn't allow an ER until his umpteenth IP. awesome), Swindell
                I added Robert Person.

Don't think about it too much. Good players usually perform. My team would have undoubtedly been the best expansion team in MLB history. Playoffs first year, ,easy. I quit, though, and am now the cubs
                Australian Rules Football...just sayin'

I'm telling you the best sleepers in the expansion are pitcher Josh Hancock (Always des well for me Rookie of the Year and cy young) and Ty Wigginton. I usually take Luis Rivas and Ben Petrick.
