    home run with contact swing

i have been playing for 4 seasons now and from the first season on i hit with contact swing for the slap hitters and power for the sluggers. i couldnt hit hrs early on with the contact.
today, i was way behind in my playoff game and i decided to try and hit for contact with everyone. i hit a hr with a power hitter for the first time ever.
i play on legend with custon sliders that i may have to adjust now.

    i need some answers.
does hitting hrs with contact occur at realistic rates?
for those newbies out there, does it get easier with time?
is this something your hitting coach does?
what do most of you use?

i am not a newbie. i won the world series my 3rd season. i was stuck in a rut if anything. i have played at least 200+ games. any info would be appreciated.

I play WSB, I've hit homers on contact swing with unlikely sources... once hit a homer right inside the rightfield foul pole with Mark Mulder on a contact swing... next at bat for Mulder, I saw where the pitch he went yard with was perfectly placed right into his hot zone. Now, out of 9 sectors of the strikezone, Mulder only has one sector cold and one hot, hot being low and inside and cold being high and inside. This pitcher couldn't have fit the ball any better in that ONE no-no sector if he tried! THAT'S why I think Mulder went deep.

You get HR very rarely from the contact swing from those who shouldn't be hitting home runs. My Cubs team have about 5 homers from Sammy using it this way, but another 22 from Power swing. Likewise, I have 3 of 7 homers from Hee Seop Choi using contact and 1 of 12 from Mike Lowell...

I use contact primarily for leadoff and 2nd batter, as well as 7, 8 and 9 hitters. The other guys I use power swing on 2-0 and 2-1 pitches only...

I hardly ever hit home runs with the contact swing in ASB. I play with the Red Sox, and the only times I have hit HRs in the contact swing was while I was at Fenway. I had to angle my cursor to pull it and hit it up. 99% of the home runs I hit are with the power swing.

I pulled a homer over the LF wall using the contact swing in WSB with Andruw Jones.
