Re: Who is everyone voting for?

This year it sounds more like people are voting according to stats... it's usually a time to vote for your favorite players, but so far I haven't heard many Bondses or Sosas, or even many Giambis.

well i ended up signing up so here is who i voted for:

      AL
      1st Base C. DELGADO
      2nd Base B. BOONE
      Shortstop A RODRIGUEZ
      3rd Base H. BLALOCK
      Catcher A.J. PIERZYNSKI
      Outfield M. BRADLEY
      Outfield F. CATALANOTTO
      Outfield V. WELLS
      DH E. MARTINEZ

      NL
      1st Base R. SEXSON
      2nd Base A. BOONE
      Shortstop A . GONZALEZ
      3rd Base W. HELMS
      Catcher M. MATHENY
      Outfield A. DUNN
      Outfield G. JENKINS
      Outfield G. SHEFFIELD

Jenkins and Sexson have to go. if they had Pujols at 3B i would have voted for him but nope.

the only ones that shouldn't go are Helms, Bradley, and Catalanotto. Lowell would be 3B for NL. Pujols would be a OF/1B for NL but Sexson is having a good year and the OF i picked are deserving to go. there really aren't any good OF in the AL that are that deserving to go. maybe Manny, and Ichiro

i could care less who goes to the All-Star game. as long as its not like Sosa starting and Torii Hunter starting. those to don't need to start.

I'm surpirsed to see no Preston Wilson votes the guy it tied the NL in RBIs.

That's because most of the people here actually vote according to how a player is playing. In other words, most people here aren't the usual idiot fans who vote for names. The fact that Pujols is 4th among outfielders in the NL is laughable.

I'm glad to see that there aren't any Giambi for 1B posts yet or Jeter for SS, or even Bernie Williams for outfield. Of course I love all of those players but I know for a fact that they don't deserve to be on the all-star team, if you're just looking at stats compared to other players.

Giambi is hitting in the low .250s, Jeter is probably around there too, and Bernie has been hurt for over a month. I was surprised that there werent as many Soriano votes. Soriano is an amazing player. He's the first 20-20 player this season and is among the league leaders in multi-hit games, hits, SBs, HRs, and extra-base hits. Where's the love?
