Re: You can put it on the board....

I only like Hawk and DJ's home run calls. They don't really call a game well though. I was watching today on WGN, and Eric Karros had a 2-RBI double and I heard basically complete silence until Hawk said that Colon is getting killed by walks. I would like to hear something along the lines of: "1 run scores, here's another one....two runs score".

Also, I hate Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. They talk about old news and try to make something out of nothing. I'm also tired of McCarver's stupid mistakes like calling Posada Piazza and just trying to sound like he's well-educated, using words no one ever uses.

The best announcers I've ever heard in any sport is the Dolphins announcers. I dont know if it was their regular announcers, but one week last year, I was listening to the live feed of them off of NFL.com and they were going INSANE.

It was so energetic, I wonder if theyre like that every week.

Vin Scully is easily the best announcer.

If it's the guy that screams "GOOOOOOO MIAMI!!!!!!!" then UGH!

As for baseball announcers there's no one better then Vin Scully he's the best. Bar None.

Now this isn't an announcer but there's this lady on Rogers Sportsnet up here that does the morning block of their sports wrap up show and I just love her HR call

                  "Goodbye Mr. Rawlings!"

                  So simple yet so good.

He calls a good game and is very informative but I dunno, I think he's kinda boring. Maybe its his tone, he just seems to be speaking without emotion. Its almost like Kenny Mayne commentating a game. Maybe 30 years ago Scully was good but in this day and age his commentary lacks some pizzaz (sp?).
