    pitchers fatigue

    hi,
i have just completed 1/5 of my season or about 30 games and i notice that even though my starters are fully rested when its there turn they tire out around the fifth. this has taxed my bullpen to the point where i had to send an everyday player to the minors just to have 11 arms on the staff. any help, suggestions or anyone having the same problem please advise.

    thanks much

I have found two issues with WSB2k3 in this respect.

1 - Pitchers do tire after a relatively low number of pitches

                but

2 - the pitch counts are often too low so it balances out and your starter often tires after a realistic number of innings.

It also varies massively between Starters depending on their Stamina rating. In has last two starts for my Indians Tim hudson has thrown two complete game shutouts (1 played, one simmed) whereas Jason Bere is usually done after 5-6 innings.

Maybe you should trade for an ace with Stamina over 100 ?

When developers test out their games, don't they notice things like this? Don't they see that "oh man Roger Clemens is tiring after 50 pitches!" and then somebody says "dude, it's a 9th inning, he's 1 out from a no hitter." I just don't understand how they can test the game and not notice then and then fix it.

i want to see the perfect baseball engine.... it would calculate the percentages of say, pitch speed, location ,velocity, hitters contact, power, hitting ability,etc.etc. to get a true experience of the game of baseball. it can be done if someone would take the time to do it. that's why i like I.P. it's on the right track, just missing a little more.
