I'm not necessarily saying that he should be in, but the fact that Willie Randolph was "one and done" on the ballot is pretty suspect considering his position. No respect.

Re: Hall Of Fame: Yes Or No?
I think with the steal largely out of favor in the current era, speed guys like Randolph have trouble. Look at Raines... I mean Rickey holds the record, so he's in probably without his power numbers, but other than that..Comment

Re: Hall Of Fame: Yes Or No?
Before I make a statement about one of these guys and get called a silly ninny.... I have a question, does what you meant to your franchise play in? Or is it simply stats based, numbers?
I ask cause I saw Trammell mentioned and quite honestly during the time he was a Tiger it could be argued he meant more to them than say the majority of these other guys meant to their teams as far as holding a fan base goes. Even when they were dreadful folks showed up to see him. I guess what I am on about is that I would rather see guys like Trammell in the Hall than guys like Bonds. Trammell was class, signed autographs, just an old school real ball player. Of course I am no expert and also he played before my real baseball watching time but it just seems stats are not everything. The fact that I know a lot about the guy at my age and him not being Bonds, Martinez, Bagwell or the sorts says a lot.
Another question, say if a guy took less money to get other players on his team to help them win does this play into voting?
What I am getting at is a Hall of Famer simply a guy who put up numbers or does who he was count? I know who you were can keep you out, but can who you were get you in?
Sorry, I am young and please do not hate me cause I am uninformed about how it really works.Last edited by SpritePuck; 05-02-2015, 05:36 AM.Comment

Re: Hall Of Fame: Yes Or No?
You won't get that argument from me.
This, from Baseball Reference, tells me his chances are good.

Re: Hall Of Fame: Yes Or No?
Beltran? Hell no not even close to HOF. Just a pretty good ball player. Couldn't tie Albert Belle's shoes. Now nobody liked that guy but he was very good.Comment

Re: Hall Of Fame: Yes Or No?
Beltran was too much of a beast in the postseason to not make it. Also a likeable guy. No reason for him to not make it.Comment

However, who do you guys feel is the most deserving guy NOT in it already?Comment

I was most encouraged by all the love by the SABR people and some of the old school ink stained wretches campaigning for his induction. Sadly, he's going to go the route of the Vets Committee.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Hall Of Fame: Yes Or No?
Also how about guy already in the HOF that is questionable to be in there?
My pick is Biggio. The guy is the example of players who were very good and played a long time in the League. He was never the best player team, IMO. Also he never really instilled fear in managers. To me he is a guy that made it because he was durable.Last edited by redsox4evur; 05-19-2015, 11:13 PM.Comment
