When to use power hitting ???

I play WSB for the xbox and i use timing hitting. My question is when is a good time to use the power swing instead of regular contact swing. i would assume to use power hitting with only power hitters but i am not sure.

I use the power swing for the homerun hitters, and any batter when a runner is on 3rd with less that 2 outs. I get more fly balls with it, than without.

I know in ASB when I have a big time power guy (Sosa, Bonds, Ramirez, etc) I always use the power swing. If I have a guy that has fairly good power I usually use the power swing only when I am ahead in the count. With these kinds of players I never use the power swing with 2 strikes.

I use it with Giambi, and have had no luck. I also suck, but I have yet to hit anything with power hitting. Giambi is hitting like .070 for me.

if u have a guy who has some power u may consider using the power swing when ur ahead in the cound for example a 2-1
