    Minor leagues

Why can't these video games get the licenses to have the minor league teams and the acutal player names instead of these fictional players? It would be really cool to have that. And also if you could see the stats that player has in the Minors.

If this was added to any of these games it would add so much realism. I know High Heat has all of the levels. But why not team logos and acutal players? I sure the players in the minors are part of the Players Union, so what's the big deal?

Anyway, tell me what you guys think.

    Re: Minor leagues

I had a hockey game a long time ago for my Commodore 128. It didn't have any licensing agreements (like team names, real players, team colors, etc.) but did have a working minor league system.

While you could only play one season, it would be neat to see who was tearin' it up at the minor level. You could bring 'em up, send 'em down, whatever, but it was neat to see who the good players were and who was progressing.

What does this have to do with you're original question? I'm not sure. But it has been done before, and even though I was like 12 when I had it, it's had me thinking about it in every game I've had since.

The deal is, I don't think they are apart of the players union.

I agree with that. When I bought ASB, I thought I was going to be able to see minor league stats, and I was very disappointed when I found out I couldn't. To me it seems like the minor leagues in the video games are just extra players for when you regulars get hurt, instead of a place to develop players.
