Report: Red Sox Prepare Offer To Matsui

File this under the 'take it with a grain of salt' section.

But never a dull moment with the Yanks/Red Soxs wars.

They still have a guy named papi.

Wow, never a dull moment indeed.

No chance in hell this is happening. They have Ortiz, just some rumor tossed out there by a Japanese site.

There's a better chance of Matsui going back to Japan then him becoming a Red Sox.

            agreed guys.
plus, with Junior reupping for another year with Seattle, the yanks still hold a good chance of retaining matsui for a year, if they choose to do so. Nor would I sign him for more than one.

We could do worse than having godzilla on the roster.

Being that Matsui can only DH now he is limited to the AL. If he does not go back to the Yankees there are going to be few options for him. The White Sox and Angels could possibly use him but i think he either returns to the Bronx or returns to Japan.

                  Matsui would destroy Fenway, though.

As a Red Sox fan, I wouldn't want this anyway.

Why would they do this when they can just sign Bonds? Both are equally injury-prone.

His agent just said that Matsui will not be going to Japan and will play in the MLB in 2010.
