      2 things:

I guess they figured at least one Red Sox must win an award this year so Jason Bay gets the metal; poor Carl Crawford is getting no love this year.

I like Ryan Zimmerman and he has a good all-around game but Kung Fu Pana was much better at the dish - guy had no help all year and still put up great numbers.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Bay's OPS was over 100 points higher, he was easily the better offensive player.

I have no problem with these picks. Hill and Lind will have a lot of Silver Sluggers in their trophy cases by the time their careers are over IMO.

Even as a Nats fan I agree. Zimmerman is the total package at third but Sandoval is a better hitter.

Only ones I really question are Ethier and Zimmerman.

It's a shame Lind finished just a shade better than Kubel, because I would have loved to have seen Kubel get a Silver Slugger because he's had to put up with a lot of crap from fans around here.

Not really a shame, but I get what you're saying (I've defended Kubel to death against ignorant Twins fans for years). The difference between the two basically boiled down to Kubel being worthless against lefties, while Lind remained useful against them.

Really hard to mess these up. Probably the only award thats mostly right all of the time.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

                      Just not with the Jays.
