The person wasn't hurt (that is unless one considers scrapes on a knee as being hurt).

He was joking around. If he would've swung with intent to harm or in a serious nature, he would've killed the person in the outfit or knocked her unconcious. All she ended up with were scrapes. Those outfits are VERY top heavy which contributed to her fall.

I don't see the big deal at all. If she would've "faked" a fall everyone would've thought it was funny. He was joking around, didn't hurt anyone and now the media and MIL upper-management are flipping out. Sad world....

I just think this is all blown out of proportion. It's stupid and no one was hurt. End of story. If he really swung at her with any force, she'd be dead. That tells me he was "playing around" and MIL upper-mgmt is blowing this WAY out of proportion.
